We reviewed 273 newborns, who delivered by Cesarian-section with general anesthesia, for judging the prog nosis of newborns by Apgar scoring system, survival rate by resuscitation and morbidity in neonatal period with comparing of 300 newborns who delivered by normal vaginal route with general anesthesia.
1. All newborns conditions are judged by Apgar scoring system at 1 minutes and 5 minutes. Apgar scores are lower in Cesarian-sectioned newborn than vaginal delivered ones.
2. 179ol of 273 Cesarian-sectioned newborns are necessitated of neonatal resuscitation and 7. 3% in vaginal delivered ones. Neonatal resuscitation is needed more in Cesarian sectioned newborn than vaginal delivered ones.
3. Neonatal deaths after resuscitation are 1.8o in Cesarian-sectioned newborns and none in vaginal delivered ones. Mortality rate is higher in sectioned babies than in vaginal delivered ones.
4. Morbidity in neonatal period is slightly higher in Cesarian-sectioned newborns than in vaginal delivered ones.
